Living Costs in Sheffield
Considering Sheffield is among the major cities in the UK, which also happen to be cheaper than others such as London, Manchester, and Bristol, the UK Student City Rankings rank Sheffield among the best in the country. The estimated annual living expenses for students here range from £9,600 to £14,400 (£10.3L to ₹15.4L).
According to the UK Student Visa requirements, applicants who do not live before submitting their visa application must show that they have £1,334 (about £12.8L) per month for 9 months as maintenance funds (i.e. living costs) totalling £12,006 (approximately ₹12.8L). The amount must reside in the applicant’s bank account for 28 days in a row prior to submitting the visa application for verification that the applicant has sufficient finances to support their stay in England.
