Who is eligible?

Any international student offered admission to the institution in any full-time, on-campus master’s programme can be eligible for the Strathclyde International Master’s Scholarship. The applicant must be classified as a self-funded student for tuition fee purposes without any employer sponsorship or any other scholarship. They should not be opting for any online learning course. 

Process and Protocols

Students are not expected to fill out any extra application form or go through any hasty process. Out of all admittee applicants, eligible ones will be directly considered and informed about the same via email within 5 days of granted admission. Candidates must accept the admission offer and undergo every required procedure, including paying deposit fees before November 30, 2026, the final deadline for the scholarship. The scholarship award will only be delivered in the form of a direct adjustment against tuition fees. SBS has clarified that applicants can receive only one University of Strathclyde scholarship at a time, and it cannot be clubbed with any other scholarship from the university. Not only online programmes but also online blended programmes are not eligible for the scholarship. The scholarship will be cut from the overall tuition fees once the admission process is done and the deposit is paid.

Eligibility

Non-European, self-funded, intercontinental residents who are pursuing a full-time course of study in any subject of humanities and social sciences such as languages, literature, psychology, politics, education, history, law, international relations, journalism, social politics and teaching. Students must be attending lectures on campus and not online. 

Specifics of the scholarship

The amount of the scholarship for every course other than law is £6,000, and for law, it is £8,000. Students will not need to apply for a separate application. If they are accepted for the course and eligible for the scholarship, they will be notified precisely. Once they accept the offer letter and complete the formalities, they will be granted their scholarship. The scholarship will be deducted from tuition fees directly and can be applied for one year. No online blended course, PG certificate or PG diploma can benefit from this award. The scholarship will be unusable as soon as students change their programme after admission, as it is non-transferable.
